Baby Blue says that he’s not worried about doing time in jail as he prepares to plead guilty to PPP loan fraud charges next month.
“I ain’t tripping. When I get out, imma be ripped up like Gucci Mane and imma be one of the hottest rappers in the world. My new single ‘Up Again’ drop Friday! I’m talking ’bout them f*ck n*ggas who tried to rob me but ain’t get sh*t!” he said to Hollywood Unlocked.
The Love & Hip Hop: Miami star was arrested along with and 28-year-old Tonye C. Johnson of Pennsylvania for their roles in a $24 million COVID-19 relief fraud scam.
According to the government, the reality television star received money for a Ferrari by falsifying documents to get a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan worth nearly $427,000.
The PPP loans were meant to help support businesses survive through the pandemic. That said, many small businesses in need were unable to receive loans, and many large companies with deep pockets (and smaller businesses not in need) were granted loans.
G HERBO ADMITTING TO FRAUD?
“Thankful to be alive! All Glory to God,” he continued. “Love my fans, family and friends for sticking with a n*gga through everything! All them prayers definitely saved my life! Only thing ima really miss is time away from my kids.”
