Rapper ASAP Rocky is coming under fire - after giving an interview with Esquire magazine - where he described "running a train" on girls when he was in the 7th grade.
Many feminists online who read the interview - are suggesting that ASAP may have been a part of a "s*xual assault."
In the interview, ASAP told Esquire that he likes to have orgies with women. ASAP told the mag, “The women that I’m around are into that free-spirited s–t like me,” “And why not? Let’s smoke some good weed in the teepee and have a fun time!”
But then the rapper described his first ever "orgy", which happened when he was in high school and the girls were in the 7th grade.
Here's ASAP's story:
“Thirteen years old. Yeah, I was at Booker T. Washington [High School] in New York City. My dad had went to jail for drugs, so my mom moved us to a homeless shelter on 104th and Broadway. Our school was like three blocks away, and they used to let us out for lunch, for 45 minutes. The first time was in this apartment building. We took the elevator to the roof, and everybody put their coats on the ground. There were like five girls and 10 guys, and we all just took turns.”
It's this description that has many feminists upset. As one twitter activist said, "High school boys taking turns on a 7th grade girl on a public roof. That sounds more like a rape than an 'orgy.'"
There's a growing chorus of women on social media that are upset with ASAP bragging about what happened.
So far, A$AP has not responded to the criticism.
