Pop singer Ariana Grande is upset with youngsters who appear to not be taking the coronavirus seriously -- and hopped on her social media to express her displeasure.

"I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people, statements like, 'This isn't a big deal,' 'We'll be fine,' 'We still have to go about our lives,' and it's really blowing my mind," she wrote. "I understand if that is how u felt weeks ago. But please read about what's going on. Please don't turn a blind eye."

Last week, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency, and schools across the country have been shut down for two weeks.

On Sunday night, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city will shut down its restaurants and bars and will only provide take-out or delivery service as a result of the outbreak.

The government is implementing 'social distancing' to help contain the highly contagious and potentially deadly virus.
