Twi days ago, actress Tisha Campbell went on Instagram, and claimed that she was nearly “abducted” by men whom she described as “human traffickers.”

Well now MTO News has learned that the police in Brownsville Texas investigated Tisha’s claim s- and found that they were NOT GROUNDED IN FACT, MTO News has learned.

The police claim that they have no evidence that Tisha was ever even in the city. The statement claims that they viewed surveillance footage, and did not see Tisha in any of them.

Here’s their exact statement:

Upon reviewing facts presented by Ms. Campbell in her video, BPD Investigators quickly launched an investigation as such cases are not the norm in our city.

Through numerous interviews and reviews of security camera footage, we could not validate Ms. Campbell’s stay in Brownsville hotels nor any other claims made in the video.

Uh oh . . .

Tisha claimed that she needed a ride after filming and did not have access to any Ubers or Lyfts. A man in the hotel gave her a number to a taxi service.

After calling for a ride, Tisha says two men pulled up in what she described as “a sketchy van” and demanded that she get in the vehicle.

Refusing to get in the vehicle, one of the men in the driver’s seat then jumps into the conversation and demanded she get into the vehicle.

Not feeling safe, Campbell refused. The actress then went back to the front desk and asked a woman who was there where she could find the man who had given her that phone number.

Confused, the front desk worker told Campbell that the phone number wasn’t the normal one for the taxi company. The actress noted in a statement that she believed “it was a set up for real.”
