A woman from Florida has been arrested for beating up her girlfriend because she talked about her ex in her sleep.
Alexis Talley is now looking at being hit with an enhanced felony charge as she had already been arrested and charged with battery that resulted in a no-contest plea.
Officers responded to a neighbor’s report of a “fight in progress” at the couple’s residence in Dunedin on Sunday night. The victim says she was sleeping when Talley woke her up and “told her she was talking in her sleep about an ex.”
MARTIN BEATS UP COSTAR
The pair began to argue “before Alexis began to punch [the victim] in the face.” Cops say that when they arrived, the victim “had visible swelling” on the right side of her face.
Talley says that while she did argue with her girlfriend, she did not lay hands on her. She says her girlfriend’s injuries were from “a previous disorder” and not from her fists. Talley is also facing a felony marijuana possession charge and she was arrested for a DUI and driving with a suspended or revoked license in December.
Talley was released on Monday on a $2,500 bond and is banned from contacting her 21-year-old girlfriend.
