Actress Maia Campbell, and former star of South Central and In The House, was arrested last week. She was one of 44 people charged by Atlanta police for participating in illegal street racing.
According to police records, Campbell, 43, was arrested Saturday and charged with being a pedestrian in the roadway.
"We pledged to deal with these speeders and reckless drivers who have shown a complete disregard for the safety of others with these dangerous antics," Chief Erika Shields said in a statement. "This weekend, with the help of our law enforcement partners, we made inroads. We will continue to impound, arrest and seek costly fines for those individuals who choose Atlanta for this senseless behavior."
During the bust, cops dished out 114 citations and had 29 cars impounded. They have not released any details as to how Campbell was involved, but judging from her charge, she could merely have just been a spectator.
