Actress Keisha Knight Pulliam, best known for playing Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, turned 40 years old today.

Keisha's break out acting role was playing the youngest child of Cliff and Clair Huxtable at on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show (1984–92). She played Rudy from ages 5 to 13. Keisha also played Miranda Lucas-Payne on the TBS comedy-drama Tyler Perry's House of Payne (2007–12).

It seems like every girl that grew up in the 1980s has a special connection to Rudy, who was one of the biggest stars of the era, even though she was just a child.

She was not only a cute kid, but she was a great child actress. She was the youngest actress to ever be nominated for an supporting actress Emmy in a sitcom. She got the nomination when she was just 6 years old.

Keisha got in show business basically from birth. She made her professional debut at nine months old, in a national print advertisement for Johnson & Johnson baby products.

She continued working, appearing in television commercials and TV shows, and making her feature-film debut in The Last Dragon (1985). At age three, she played Keshia on Sesame Street.

And now she's a working mom. She's still acting, and has a few interesting projects on the way. Ella is Pulliam’s two year old daughter with ex-husband and retired NFL player Ed Hartwell. The former couple married on January 1, 2016, but Ed filed for divorce in July of that same year. Ella was born in 2017 and shortly after, Hartwell requested for a DNA test , which proved that he was indeed the father of baby Ella.

Happy birthday Keisha:
