Actress Gina Rodriguez is coming under fire, for claiming that she's half black - when she's not.

Gina made the misleading statements on the top rated Sway In The Morning radio show yesterday. Gina was defending herself against accusations that she was anti-Black coming from many on social media.

In the last year, Gina appeared to take pro-Latina and anti-Black political stances. And she's tried to shut down pro-Black political stands.

Here's what Gina said on Twitter:

Next, there was a 2018 junket interview with Yara Shahidi, when the interviewer pointed out that Shahidi is a role model for black women. - Gina interjected, noting she is a role model for all women.

Next, Gina suggested that Black women get "preferential" treatment in Hollywood over Latina's. She told a reporter last month:

“I get so petrified in this space talking about equal pay, especially when you look at the intersectional aspect of it,” Rodriguez said. “Where white women get paid more than black women, and black women get paid more than Asian women, Asian women get paid more than Latina women and it’s like a very scary space to step into.”

Well Sway confronted Gina about her statements.

This week Gina Rodriguez addressed claims that she is anti-Black telling Sway in the Morning,

"The Black community was the only community I looked towards growing up. We didn’t have many Latino shows and the Black community made me feel like I was seen, so to get 'anti-Black' is to say I’m anti-family. My father is dark-skinned. He is Afro-Latino … It's in my blood. So it was really devastating to me."

Well it turns out that Gina was not telling the truth. MTO obtained a pic of Gina's father, and he's not dark skinned.

Here's a picture of her father:
