ASAP Rocky returned to Sweden to perform for the first time since his summer arrest, and performed on stage in a cage, seemingly meant to resemble his time behind bars in the European country.
Rocky was convicted of assault in Sweden following a heated altercation on Jun. 30 in Stockholm that turned physical. The rapper spent a month in a Swedish prison before getting released on Aug. 2.
Despite the guilty verdict, the rapper was allowed to return to the US and was not banned or otherwise precluded from returning to the country. Rocky and the two members of his entourage, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers, who were also charged and been given suspended sentences and ordered to pay damages to the victim.
Upon his release, Rocky was quick to thank "fans, friends, and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks."
"I can't begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you," he continued via the Instagram post. "This has been a very difficult and humbling experience."
