A 9 year old girl from Alabama committed suicide, after her Black classmates allegedly bullied her for "being white."

The family of McKenzie Adams claims that the 4th grader put up with racist bullying from her African American classmates, who taunted the beautiful girl since the beginning of the year.

“She was being bullied [by] the entire school year, with words such as ‘kill yourself,’" the 9-year-old’s aunt, Eddwina Harris, told the Tuscaloosa News

McCkenzie was also told, “you think you’re white because you ride with that white boy,” Harris said, and called “ugly” and other unprintable epithets."

According to local news reports, McKenzie transferred to U.S. Jones Elementary School. As a new child, she had trouble making friends - but managed to befriend a young Caucasian boy. McKenzie's interracial friendship made many of her classmates angry.

The 9 year old's mother and grandmother raised their concerns of McKenzie's bullying to the State Board of Education. Unfortunately McKenzie committed suicide before the school took sufficient action.

May she rest in peace.
