Cantor Fitzgerald trader, Michael Morgan Taylor was 42 years old when he was killed in the 9/11 attacks. He was on the 104th floor of the north tower. At the time, his next of kin was Michael's parents and his sister. Well all that can change now.
That's because a 24-year-old Texas man named Austin Rutherford Colby claims that he was Michael's secret love child. Austin is bi-racial, and his mother is Black.
Austin wants a court to grant a DNA test, to determine if the victim was his father. If the DNA test is positive, Austin would be able to cash in on Taylor's $1 million estate.
As of right now, the $1M estate belongs to Michael's sister Mary Kay Crenshaw, 55, of Arkansas
Mary Ann said the paternity case is 'a further desecration' of her brother's remains and a 'reopening of her own emotional wounds'. If the results are positive, Austin will have to meet a legal requirement showing that Taylor 'openly and notoriously acknowledged the child as his own' during his lifetime. And according to Mary Kay's lawyer, that is impossible to meet because 'there's no evidence whatsoever of that'. She spoke about the 9/11 attacks and said that, "it unquestionably changed the lives of everyone in my family," Crenshaw explained, "And it still impacts our lives today."
Austin's mother Gwendolyn claims that Michael KNEW he got her pregnant, but that he was EMBARRASSED to have a child with a Black woman.
