An 8-year-old boy in Bangladesh has been stricken with a painful, yet very uncommon illness - the Tree Man Illness.
Ripon Sarker, age 8, is reported to be suffering from "Tree Man illness." The boy was admitted to Dhaka Medical Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Tree Man Illness is an extremely rare autosomal recessive genetic hereditary skin disorder associated with a high risk of carcinoma of the skin. It is characterized by abnormal susceptibility to human papillomaviruses (HPVs) of the skin.
Unfortunately there is NO cure, and very little treatment for the illness. The poor boy has to just SUFFER THROUGH IT.
