Supermodel Iman attended the God's Love We Deliver, Golden Heart Awards at Spring Studios in New York City last night. And Iman looked stunning.

The elegant supermodel flowed across the red carpet last night like she was walking on air.

And the paparazzi who clamored to take her photograph recognized that they were in the presence of a legend. Many of them applauded as she sashayed down the carpet.

Iman, whose birth name is Zara Maxamed Cabdulmajiid, was the first Black model to ever be seen as the #1 supermodel in the world. In addition to being a model, Iman is also an actress and entrepreneur.

Iman has been a pioneer in the ethnic-cosmetics market, and she is also noted for her philanthropic work.

She is the widow of English rock musician David Bowie, whom she married in 1992. Iman is also a stepmother to Bowie’s son from a previous marriage, Duncan Jones. Both children bear Bowie’s legal surname. Iman and her family resided primarily in Manhattan and London. When Bowie died on January 10, 2016, making her a widow, she wrote in tribute to him that “the struggle is real, but so is God.

Iman first married at age 18 to a young Somali entrepreneur, a Hilton executive. The marriage ended a few years later when she moved to the United States to pursue a modeling career.

In 1977, Iman dated American actor Warren Beatty. Later that year, she got engaged to American basketball player Spencer Haywood. Their daughter, Zulekha Haywood, was born in 1978. The two divorced in February 1987.
