Cardi B is getting death threats from the CRIPS gang street gang – after she made a controversial post on social media.
Here’s how TMZ is reporting it went down:
The whole thing started on Feb. 5 after the rapper posted a photo while wearing a blue coat. “I hate wearing Flue, but this coat was too poppin,” she wrote. The word “Flue” is a big slap in the face to the Crips gang, as blue is the gang's color. By refusing to write “blue,” Cardi opened up the floodgates.
Cardi has long said that she associates with the Bloods gang, the Crips longtime foe. On Instagram last year she said she “put in work” to become a member of the gang.
As threats started pouring in, Cardi took down the caption. The photo remains on Instagram but she has turned off the comments for the post.
Here are just a few of the comments on social media:
"@iamcardib this will not be accepted #DONTCOMETOLA."
"Now why you go and do this f*ck sh*t, Cardi. This is literally WestCoast Suicide.... b**ch betta get #neutral."
"Why tf cardi b say that disrespectful shit lmfao the crips gon fuck her up"
"Cardi B need to apologize to me and the crips publically lol she out of line"
The post and subsequent threats come at the worst time for Cardi. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper will be heading to the West Coast next weekend for the NBA All-Star game.
