Reality star Brigitte Nielsen made international news this week, when she announced that she's pregnant - at the age of 54.
Some people are skeptical of her announcement. She's been known to make up stories in the past.
But the apparently pregnant Brigitte was spotted out yesterday showing off her growing baby bump as she and husband Mattia Dessi stop by a doctors office for a check-up in West Hollywood.
Word is that the couple are in the midst of filming a new reality show for VH1.
Brigitte posted an Instagram a few days ago with the caption, "Family getting larger," she wrote on one picture.
Here is another photo of her showing off her baby bump:
A CNN report explained that:
Nielsen is the mother of four adult sons (including one with ex-fiancé, former NFL player Mark Gastineau). "After I do Playboy, we want to try IVF. It's asking a lot, but if it's possible, it would make our package complete."
Nielsen married Mattia Dessi, now 39, in 2006 and said two years later that she would like to have more children."The children have kept me going," she said in an interview.
You probably remember her from her 2005 VH1 reality series "Strange Love," which focused on her relationship with rapper Flavor Flav. The pair had met earlier on another VH1 reality series, "The Surreal Life."
The Danish actress is just the latest celeb to announce a late-in-life pregnancy.
"Last year singer Janet Jackson gave birth to her first child, son Eissa, at the age of 50. In April, actress Rachel Weisz, 48, announced that she and her husband, actor Daniel Craig, were expecting their first child together."
