Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell-Martin and Tichina Arnold have ALL agreed to sign on to the new MARTIN re-boot.
According to reports, the trio is pitching the new MARTIN series to a number of networks. Right now, NETFLIX looks like it's in the lead.
Lately, streaming sites have been queuing up to give us reboots of some of our favorite series and movies. Hulu recently announced that it had brought In Living Color to their site. Netflix was responsible for the recent remake of Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It series. The series was acclaimed both by fans and critics alike.
Martin spilled the beans during an interview with HipHollywood:
“It’s surprising that people still love those characters so much. I can’t tell you anything but’s really exciting [...] I can’t tell you, but it has been an honor to be Gina for all these years.”
However, some fans of the show are surprised by Tisha Campbell-Martin's willingness to sign up for the show's revival. The reason for the demise of the popular series was her turbulent relationship with her co-star Lawrence, who she claimed was a little too handsy.
In 1997, she filed a lawsuit accusing Larence of “repeated and escalating sexual harassment, sexual battery, verbal abuse and related threats.” The case was settled out of court.
It didn’t seem possible. The cast BROKE UP – after Martin was accused of ABUSING the staff, and sexually harassing co-star Tisha Campbell-Martin.
We can't WAIT for it.
