'Power' producer 50 Cent is joining forces with La La Anthony for a new drama series called 'Intercepted.'
According to Deadline, 'Intercepted' is based on Alexa Martin’s bestselling novel of the same name and is the first of the three-book series 'The Playbook', inspired by the eight years Martin spent as an NFL wife.
50 produced one of Starz's top-rated shows of all time, so it's no wonder they've greenlit his next venture.
"Described as a funny and fresh contemporary romance, Intercepted centers on Marlee Harper (Anthony), who is the perfect girlfriend. She’s sure had enough practice, dating her NFL-star boyfriend for the last 10 years. But when her relationship unexpectedly ends, she vows to never date an athlete again. Only one problem: Gavin Pope, the new star quarterback in town, has Marlee in his sights."
Intercepted is based on the novel by Alexa Martin. The best-seller follows Marlee Harper, an NFL girlfriend whose life is turned on its head when she finds herself suddenly single. She says that she'll never date another athlete, in an attempt to move on from her past mistakes. The quarterback of her hometown team has other ideas, however.

The sixth season of 'Power' is out this summer.
According to Complex, "The new show falls under a four-year development deal that Fif signed with Starz last year that was rumored to be worth $150 million. In addition to Intercepted, new series The Black Mafia Family and Vanguard are being produced for Starz under the rapper's G-Unit banner."
