21 Savage affiliate and friend Young Nudy is reportedly being released from jail.
According to reports, Nudy has been granted a $100,000 bond. The rapper was arrested on gang and assault charges on Sun., Feb. 3 at the same time as 21. It was said at the time, that authorities were actually targeting Nudy but 21 got caught up as they were in the same vehicle.
Nudy's lawyer W. Scott Smith told AJC:
“We believe that Young Nudy is innocent and this is a case of mistaken identity... Young Nudy's legal team is working closely with law enforcement to ensure this case does not get blown out of proportion.”
Nudy's charges stem from a 2017 criminal warrant claiming that he'd shot a man twice. The investigation is ongoing.
“We are very pleased with the result. We are looking forward to getting him out so he can be with his family," Smith explained. “He is looking forward to getting back out on tour and to continue to have this incredible success performing."
