A North Carolina couple that was featured on the show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition are getting some bad press. The family is accused of "kicking out" five adopted children, after receiving their dream home from the show.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition built Devonda and James Friday a 3,900-square-foot home in Charlotte, North Carolina, in late 2012.

The show decided to give the couple a new "dream home" after learning that Devonda and James adopted an additional five young siblings so they did not have to live in separate foster homes. The couple already had two children of their own.

But a new report, from Charlotte claims that once Devonda and James got the house - they "kicked out" all five of the foster kids.

The two eldest children, Kamaya and Chris spoke with WS-OCTV on Friday claiming that their adopted parents "kicked them out soon" after the show aired,.

Their younger siblings are also no longer living with Devonda and James - and are believed to be all living separately.

"I felt like they were my mom and dad. I loved them like they were my real parents. I did," Chris told WS-OCTV.

"What they did to us was just wrong. (They) threw us all out."
